Tutors are employed under the Tutor Employment Program which employs up to eight Indigenous people at each project location. Positions are offered to a representative nominated by each group in the community. The traineeship recipients are called Tutors and work on education and engagement activities with the school children, family members and teachers.

Besides increasing their own employment opportunities they work with families to engage them on the project.
