Emma Burchill

Emma is a Kuku Yalanji woman from Mossman Gorge, Cape York Peninsula. As well as being the Treasurer of the Bamanga Bubu Ngadimunku Inc, she is their Financial Income Management Resource Worker, a project run, in part, by Cape York Partnerships.

She attended primary school and high school in far north Queensland. She is currently completing a Bachelor of Law through Deakin University. She is very involved in her community and was a part of the group that started screen printing and art workshops for the people of Mossman Gorge.
Winning the Queensland Tourism Award for The Kuku Yalanji Dreamtime Walks, while managing the organisation was a highlight in her life. The Kuku Yalanji Dreamtime Walks was also nominated for the Australian Tourism Awards.
