Peter McNally
Peter's Story
Peter McNally is a recently retired Partner of KPMG Chartered Accountants, formerly based in their Sydney office. He is an Affiliate of both the Australian Institute of Company Directors and Institute for Chartered Accountants, a Member of the Australian Computer Society, a Certified Information Security Manager, and a Certified Information Systems auditor.
Peter brings more than 30 years experience in information technology advisory and auditing experience with an extensive range of industries. While at KPMG, Peter had direct responsbiility for projects to develop and enhance KPMG methodologies deployed at global clients and in government.
Peter's experience covers operations, systems design, IT audit and security. Peter held Senior Audit and IT Management roles for a major bank prior to joining KPMG in 1997.
As a Partner at KPMG, Peter dealt with senior executives and directors in the private sector, and Ministerial level in the public sector (State and Commonwealth). He also led and managed significant client engagements in Australia, Japan, Singapore, Vietnam, Belgium and Kuwait.
Peter's Achievements
Recently, Peter was the keynote speaker to business leaders and government in Taipei and Kuala Lumpur on the role of government in critical infrastructure protection. He has also presented internationally on issues associated with the introduction of electronic health care records.
Peter passionately believes in the need to improve and enhance opportunities for Indigenous Australians to achieve not only economic benefit, but to be proud of cultural achievement and recognition in the broader community.
