Gabrielle's Story
Gabrielle Trainor is a Partner of John Connolly & Partners Pty Ltd, a public relations and government affairs consultancy firm in Sydney.
Her professional background is as a barrister and solicitor, a daily newspaper journalist and as a Commonwealth public sector executive.
She is a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and has been on a number of special industry and government committees, including as a Judge of the NSW Premier's Public Service Awards.
Gabrielle specialises in issues management in complex organisational environments – often in the context of major financial transactions. She has developed stakeholder relations systems, including corporate responsibility programs, for a range of large corporations.
Her experience in government, as a non executive director and as a consultant to key institutions in the capital markets have given her specialist knowledge on corporate governance issues, on which she also advises. She has consulted for over 20 years, primarily to top 20 listed companies.
Gabrielle's Achievements
Educated at the Univeristy of Melbourne, Gabrielle was awarded a 1986 Churchill Fellowship. She studied in the USA and UK, including as a visiting scholar at the Department of Communication at Stanford University.
