Neville's Story
Neville Pootchemunka is a Winchnum man from the Wik Mungkan language group, having lived most of his life in the community on the west coast of Cape York Peninsula.
He attended primary school in Aurukun and completed his secondary education at boarding school in Herberton before returning home to Aurukun.
Neville's Achievements
Neville Pootchemunka is the Mayor of Aurukun Shire Council, he is also a board member of the Western Cape Regional Consultant Group and is involved in a number of youth projects in Aurukun.
