My role is to enthusiastically share the vision of Cape York leaders with our team, our partners and the Indigenous people of Cape York.
We are a team of committed specialised professionals and our culture is based on accountability, innovation and collaboration. We have intimate knowledge of Cape York and its people and we are meeting our enormous challenge head on.
Through hard work, smart ideas and best practices, we are growing into a leading international development organisation. And we will transform the lives of Indigenous people from Cape York and beyond.
Bernardine Denigan, Chief Executive Officer, Cape York Partnerships
Bernardine Denigan is the Chief Executive Officer of Cape York Partnerships. She holds a degree in Fine Arts, Graduate Diploma of Letters from Swinburne University and a Masters in Public Policy and Administration. Bernardine's academic career focused on welfare and educational reform.
She is a certified Project Manager by the Australian Institute of Project Management.
Bernardine worked closely with Aboriginal leaders and their families in Cape York to design the Computer Culture project and the Every Child Is Special projects.
In 2004, Bernardine received a Vincent Fairfax Leadership Fellowship and in 2009 she completed a Winston Churchill Fellowship study on education reform in the United States. The experiences gained from the projects and the results of the fellowships inform the current education agenda of Cape York Partnerships.
Bernardine continues to build on her extensive knowledge of the complexities and challenges confronting indigenous people across Cape York.
